  1. Wash your hair and gently towel-dry it.

  5. Section your hair into small, manageable sections.

  7. Use the i.d. curl sequence to automate the curling, setting, and cool-shot steps, when configured.
  8. Use the smoothing brush to straighten the appearance of hair or tame flyaways.
  9. Use the round volumizing brush to add lift at the roots and create a bouncy blowout.
  10. Allow your hair to cool before gently separating curls with your fingers.
  11. Finish with hairspray if desired, to help your hairstyle last longer.
  12. Switch off the device and allow it to cool before removing or storing attachments.
